In June we continue our 2019 theme of "Give More to God" with our Testimony.
A huge shout out of thanks to everyone that donated, served and shopped at our annual indoor yard sale. We raised right at $2,800 to help our youth get to the National Youth Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thank you, every single one of you! We couldn't do this without you.
June 2, 2019 Announcements: Our Wednesday night adult study will meet this Wednesday at 6:30 to continue our "Fight" bible study. June 5th-6th is our Texas State Association meeting in Abilene. Pray for safety of travel as Free Will Baptists across the state make their way to Abilene, pray for productivity in the business meeting sessions and for the Lord to move in our Worship Services. Fellowship Camp at Camp Sonshine is June 23rd - 27th. A sign up sheet is in the foyer for you to indicate if you are able to help during camp week. Also, girls camp is full, there are a few spots left for boys. We are in need of camp scholarships to ensure all children are able to attend camp regardless of financial situations. If you can sponsor a child for camp just indicate on your giving where the funds need to go. Our meal of the month for June is "Sandwich Bar" on June 30th. There will be a sign up sheet in the foyer soon. Please check our our "Events' tab for more information and activities.
Missions Moment (Sponsored by FWAC) Chris and Megan Davenport are church planters to Fredericksburg, Virginia. They are making the transition to Fredericksburg after working with Carl and Cynthia Spruill to plant a church in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Chris graduated from Welch College in Nashville, Tennessee, with a B.S. in Missions. Megan studied Nursing at Tennessee State University. The couple has one daughter, Lily. Please pray for the Davenports and their work in Fredericksburg. The Motto of Fredericksburg is: America's Most Historic City. Fredericksburg is located 53 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 58 miles north of Richmond, VA. Sunday, May 26th, 2019 Announcements: Ladies bible study meets Tuesday, May 28th. This will be the beginning of our Sermon on the Mount study. Join us at 6:00 for supper (byo) and study at 6:30. Youth Yard Sale is the Friday and Saturday. We are still accepting donations of gently used items - let us know when you can drop them off. Contact Sharon if you are available to sort/price/organize this week and also if you are available to help during the sale. Youth Sunday School Promotion is next Sunday! You are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early as your class location may have changed. We are excited to be dividing the teen class into a teen boys class and a teen girls class. The boys will be meeting in the gym with Bro Doug and the girls will be meeting in Bro Doug's old classroom with Sister Sharon teaching. We are also happy to announce Sister Grace will be teaching the preschool/kindergarten class. Sunday will be the beginning of a new quarter in Sunday School and would be a great time for you to check out what Sunday School is all about. There is a class for everyone!
We continue to receive #WMO donations, and we have passed the 90% mark on our $5,000 goal ($4,548.11). Will you help us reach the finish line?
Missions Moment (Sponsored by FWAC) Danny and Dawn Elliott/Buffalo, NY As a result of their continued battle with Quebec Immigration and the current change in immigration law, Danny and Dawn Elliott with their family are forced to leave Quebec, Canada. Becoming permanent residents was a priority for the Elliotts so they could rent a church facility and open a church bank account. However, after two and a half years of repeatedly completing paperwork and submitting documents, the Quebec government recently proposed new legislation making it nearly impossible for missionaries to remain in the country. With these recent developments and rising costs in the country, it became evident that the doors in Quebec were closing quickly. While humanly speaking, this was a surprise, it was not a surprise in God’s perfect plan. In fact, more than a year and a half ago, Brian Williams (Buffalo, NY) began praying about the opportunity to launch a second campus of NorthPoint FWB in the Buffalo, NY area. After an extended time of prayer and numerous discussions with the leadership at North American Ministries, the Elliotts have determined that this is where God would have them serve. They will be moving to the Buffalo area in June, at which time they will begin traveling to reestablish needed support and will begin serving in various capacities at NorthPoint. During this time, Danny, along with church leadership, will determine the location of this next campus and will then begin actively moving in that direction. Please pray specifically for the following: • Please pray for them as they start their internship in Buffalo, NY. • Pray for opportunities as they start another church in the area. • For a smooth transition for the Elliott children as they leave their current home to relocate back to the States. • For renewed financial and prayer support for the Elliotts. • For those involved in the Bible studies in Quebec as they transition into existing ministries in the Quebec City area.

Youth Indoor Yard Sale is May 31st from 2 - 6 and June 1st from 8 - 2. We appreciate your gently used donations for the sale. Please note - there is no Fellowship Meal in May. Missions Moment (Sponsored by FWAC) Free Will Baptist International Missions no longer has resident missionaries in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Africa. They now have their own National Association of 112 churches and 6,000 believers, running their own Bible Institute and in the process of building a Christian School. Local Free Will Baptist have founded a non-profit organization that runs the Hospital at Doropo, a support program for AIDS patients and their families, an adult literacy program, and are initiating a micro-loan program to help people set up their own income-generating activities. This does not mean that FWB from other parts of the world have totally abandoned our fellow-believers in Côte d’Ivoire. The Mission now has a formal partnership agreement with the National Association in that country. Through this partnership, we still help supply some of their needs that will boost their ability to continue ministering to people. From Dr. Kenneth Eagleton: Pastor Silas N'Guettia, who pastors a church in Abijan, recently preached a revival at Patricekro, in southeastern Ivory Coast. There are five congregations in this area, all supervised by Pastor Enoc. It is a long way from the rest of our FWB works. Please pray for Pastor Enoc and these congregations.

So much depends on them. Budgets are finalized. Plans are made. Our ministry partners are in place, eager to see if we can reach even further this year. Everyone is praying this year’s offering will be record-breaking—not because breaking records is a priority. But because, the greater the offering, the more Great Commission work we can accomplish. Thank you for ensuring more churches will be planted. Thank you for empowering trainers to train and leaders to lead. Missions Moment (Sponsored by Fellowship WAC) WMO for India Free Will Baptists first shared the good news with India in 1835. In 1935 the National Association of Free Will Baptists was born and missionary zeal was rekindled. That year Miss Laura Belle Barnard of Georgia was commissioned as the new denomination’s first missionary. Arriving in 1951, Miss Volena Wilson served alongside Miss Barnard. Thanks to their efforts, we have a strong Free Will Baptist work in the Nilgiri Hills region of South India. In 1947 Reverend and Mrs. Paul Woolsey opened a ministry in North India. Reverend and Mrs. Daniel Cronk joined the Woolseys in 1948, and Reverend and Mrs. Carlisle Hanna arrived on the field in 1952. Currently, Carlisle Hanna is our only Free Will Baptist missionary in India. Sixteen percent of the world’s population lives in India—more than 1 billion people. Approximately 28 percent of India’s citizens reside in its cities. IM’s main investment in India is helping to fund church-planting that is done by Indian pastors, church-planters, and evangelists, both by Free Will Baptists in the north, south, and in Nepal, as well as by other partners. India has approximately 2500 people groups (roughly, ethnic groups). Ninety percent of these are considered unreached by the gospel. This means that even though in some of these groups there may be Christians, the Church is not numerous enough or strong enough to reach the rest of their people group. That is where IM comes in. We help fund church-planting efforts in these unreached people groups in five states of India plus the country of Nepal. Your contribution to the World Missions Offering (WMO) this April or directly to the India Partnership or Hanna account will help reach the unreached. Pray for elections in India, held in seven phases April 11-May 19. Some have cited these elections as the most important in decades. Pray elections will be peaceful and fair. Pray those elected will publicly and privately condemn those inciting religious violence. Pray God will give Christians boldness in the face of opposition and protection as they affirm their faith in Jesus.
